Junior and the Supermarket Manager
There was once a little boy named Junior and he loved sweets, so each time he went with his mother to the store he would ask her if he could get some. Mummy always said no because she wanted Junior to have lovely teeth and not spoil them with too much sugar. One day mummy and Junior went as usual the supermarket for the weekly shopping and just as they turned into the drinks aisle, Junior spotted some lovely coloured strawberry and lemon sweets. He knew mummy would not buy them for him and they looked so lovely and delicious, he could almost taste them yum yum…
Junior decided that he was going to have them no matter what so when mummy’s back was turned, Junior did something. Can you guess what that was? You are right. Junior grabbed a handful of the strawberry sweets and stuffed them into his pockets. He was afraid that someone might have seen him but he then he realised no one did. Now Junior felt a bit guilty about taking the sweets but he said to himself the store has so many sweets they won’t even miss these.
Mummy finished the shopping and they drove home and as usual he helped mummy take the shopping out of the car but as he bent to pick up a bag. Guess what happened? All the sweets felt out of his pockets and unto the ground. Junior was so scared now because he knew that mummy would know that he had stolen the sweets. Mummy looked at him and told him in a very serious voice that he would have to go back to the supermarket and return the sweets as well as apologise to the store manager for stealing. Junior started sweating, he said sorry to mummy over and over he would take any punishment but he did not want to face the supermarket manager. Mummy insisted and he got in the car, by this time big drops of tears started appearing on Junior’s face, this was the worst day of his life, he kept imagining what the manager would say to him but that just made him cry harder and he felt truly sorry for stealing.
Juniors little heart started beating faster and faster, because they had reached the store and mummy asked to see the manager. Junior started hoping that he would not be there but the manager was. Mummy told the manager that Junior had something to say. Junior looked at mummy’s face and the tears started again. Mr manager, he began I.. I stole y..your sw..sweets and I am so so sorry and I will never ever do it again. The manager was very serious and he told Junior how wrong it was because he was losing a lot of money because people kept taking goods without paying for them but he told Junior that he was forgiven and that he should never do it again
Junior learnt a very important lesson that day that day which was stealing is always wrong whether someone has a lot or not and once you take something without permission it is called stealing.
