Peter’s Broken Leg

Peter loved his new house, there was a busy road with lots of shiny cars passing everyday. As soon as Peter finished his chores in the mornings he would rush outside to look at these cars. Peter’s daddy made sure to tell peter that he was never to go out the gate because he might be knocked down by a car. Peter said yes dad very convincingly, but in his mind Peter was making plans to go out when dad and mom were not around. His opportunity finally came when daddy and mummy decided to do some work in the back Garden. Peter was really excited because he could finally slip out without them seeing.

Peter slowly went to the gate, opened the latch and went outside. Boy he was happy. He was so close to all these cars, he thought he was really smart because daddy would never know. Finally Peter got bored of looking so he decided to cross the road, but just as he reached the middle of the road, peter felt a really hard hit, he hurt all over. Can you guess what happened?. Well you guessed right, Peter forgot to look both ways so he stepped right into the way of a moving car. Luckily only his leg was broken. They took Peter to the hospital where he had to stay for three weeks. Because Peter was disobedient he could not play football or play with his friends or go anywhere for five weeks but Peter never for the lesson he learnt that day which was, can you guess? Always listen to what your parents tell you because they know what best for you.
