Sandra’s Doll

Sandra could barely concentrate on her lessons at school because she was excited about the two dolls she had received for her birthday. She talked about them to all her friends, she even brought them to her school to show them off.

Now there was one little girl however who really loved those dolls. Sandra was afraid that the little girl might want to take her dolls so she refused to let her play with them. The little girl who we will call Susan was very sad, because she really wanted to play with Sandra and the doll because she had no friends. This went on every day.

One day Sandra noticed that Susan was not in class, When Sandra mentioned this, the teacher told the class that Susan would not be coming back to school for three weeks because she was really sick. Sandra felt a tiny bit relieved because now she would not have to share but she felt very sad at the same time because Susan was missing out on all the fun they were having at school.

When Sandra got home she told her parents and they told her that it would be nice if she visited her and brought her some flowers. Daddy offered to drop her and Mummy offered to bake some cookies so that Susan could have them while she was at home. Sandra was still a bit unsure about the entire thing but she went anyway.

When she arrived she was shocked because Susan did not have any toys and her room was not as nice as hers. Sandra could not believe that Susan's room looked the way it did. As she looked around the bare room, a bright idea popped into her head, what if she had a surprise get well party for Susan where everybody brought presents. Her parents thought it was a wonderful idea and so they arranged the party. The Day of the party came and can you guess what gift Sandra gave to Susan? Well you guessed right it was one of her dolls. Susan was so happy that she immediately burst into tears.

Sandra realised then that she was happier seeing Suzan enjoying the Doll, than if she had kept the two Dolls to herself ,but she learned one very important lesson that day ,which was that it is always important to share
