Why

Why do bad things happen to good people?
Why do people have to suffer and die?
Why do children have to grow up without a mum and a dad?
Why won’t He just save us from all this pain?

Why did my husband have to leave,
To bring up the three children without a job,
Support, guidance, love and partnership?
Why didn’t He remember our vows?

Why did the children forsake the Lord,
The only true Father that sustained then from birth?
Why when I brought them up to love and honour Him,
To praise and always trust in Him?

Why did my best friend betray me,
Reigning all the good times that we had,
The good times and the bad,
And didn’t even mention our long years of friendship?

Why did my brother have to go so soon?
Leaving a young daughter, a dad, mother
And other siblings loved ones and all.
Why did things happen they way they did?
Why didn’t he stay at home or get delayed?

Well, a voice spoke to me,
He said I told Adam and Eve,
Not to eat the fruit and they did.
As a result, sin entered the world,
And man had to suffer and die.

However, He continued to say,
That is the reason why I came and died,
To give mankind a second life.
All you have to do is trust and obey,
And surrender your life.

A day is coming very soon,
Where pain will no more than a bad dream,
Death and loneliness will not live there,
There will be happiness, joy, peace,
In that golden land bright and fair.

You will no longer need to ask why?
As the whys will become,
Wonderful, Healing, Young and Sin free
All will worship our God in that land,
That He’s gone to prepare for you and me.
