Friends
As we journey along life’s pathway, there are lots of people we meet;
All with their different problems, all with their different needs-
But the people we are really drawn to-are those with a smile on their face
They seem to be really saying, you are welcomed to the human race.
So we smile and we say ‘ how do you do dear, how happy we are that we’ve met.` And hope they are keeping in good health, and for them life’s as good as it gets-
And somewhere along life’s pathway, we tend to remember our friends;
We would like them to share our good fortune, and also to make some amends-
So we invite them to church on the Sabbath, we tell them how much we are blessed; And that Jesus has died to save us, How He gave us the Sabbath to rest.
We then welcome them to our service and hope they’ll enjoy the whole day-
We ask them to share our meal with us and hope that they’ll come once again.
At our church you will get a warm welcome; that will set your heart aglow,
You will make many friends on this pathway, more friends than you will ever know-
So thank you, once again thank you, our love for you overflows
We have spent one whole day with you, and we know now our friendship will grow.
We have all learnt some precious lessons that will help us through life’s pathway
That will make our journey easier than we will ever know
Lets keep our friendship watered and nourished day by day
By praying for each other, as we journey along life’s way.
