POEM 1, “MY SECRET FRIEND”
It is said, it is more blessed to give than to receive,
But I feel more blessed to receive from my secret friend.
My secret friend is a mystery to me.
She is loving, kind and thoughtful.
Her various gifts express her love to me.
Her words of care, hope and comfort uplift me.
She remembers me in her prayers and intercedes with God for me, so she said in her card.
I feel extra special for it.
For she crowns my Sabbaths with a golden lining of happiness.
But I know not who she is though she is a member of this congregation.
When I look around searching for tell-tell signs, expressions I wonder which one of you it could be?
I long to know my secret friend just to let her know, how much I appreciate all she’s done to me.
Thank you for taking time and effort to express your love, my friend.
I am truly touched and look forward to discover who you are.
May God bless you.
This idea of a secret friend is great!!
I was surprised when some said they have enough friends that they don’t need anymore.
For me, a praying secret friend is worth more than many who do not pray.
I hope I will be an inspiring secret friend to others and bring them God- inspired love, peace, joy and hope.
